The yarn comes in two different content compositions: Solids & Multi, which are 100% acrylic, and Flecks, which are 96% acrylic and 4% other fibers. The Putup (packaging) for the Multi & Flecks yarns is 5 oz/141 g, with a length of 236 yards/215 meters, while the Solids Putup is 7 oz/198 g, with a length of 364 yards/333 meters.
The recommended gauge for this yarn is 17 stitches x 23 rows = 4 inches/10 cm on US size 8/5 mm knitting needles. For crochet, the suggested hook size is I-9/5.5 mm.
It's important to note that dyelots may vary, and the manufacturer cannot always guarantee a perfect match across dyelots. However, the Solids yarns are not dyelotted.
As for care instructions, the Red Heart Super Saver Yarn can be machine washed and tumble dried. Bleaching, ironing, and dry cleaning are not recommended.
